YPD 2013 was held at the Sir Neil Waters Lecture Theatre on the Waite Campus, which was generously provided by Massey University. The conference features a mixed the scientific program with an opportunity to experience a small part of northern Auckland, as well as some of the products of our hemiascomycetous friends. Sessions focused on Cellular and Molecular Biology, Yeasts in Medicine and Medically Relevant Yeasts, Industrial Yeasts and their Applications, Population Genetics, Omics Systems Biology and Beyond and Winemaking. The programme included several invited speakers.
