Finally, YPD is back and will meet in Brisbane!
Join us for the Yeast: Products and Discovery Conference 2026, bringing together emerging leaders, researchers, and innovators in yeast science from across Australia. This year's conference will be held at UQ Brisbane City, the university’s restored heritage building in the heart of the CBD
Venue
Conference Themes
- Yeast Biology and Genetics: Exploring fundamental mechanisms of yeast cell biology, molecular genetics, and genomics
- Metabolic Engineering and Precision Fermentation: Application-focused engineering of yeast for production of pharmaceuticals, biofuels, and specialty chemicals
- Synthetic Biology: Developing and applying novel genetic tools, genome editing techniques for rational yeast strain design and engineering
- Systems Biology and Computational Approaches: Using yeast as a model to study complex biological networks, multi-omics integration, and computational modelling of cellular systems
- Fungal Pathogenesis and Host Interactions: Understanding pathogenic fungi, their mechanisms of infection, antifungal resistance, and host immune responses
- Food and Beverage Applications: Innovations in brewing, winemaking, baking, and other fermentation-based food production
- Toolkits and Methods: Novel toolkits and methods for applications in yeast. Promoters, genetic engineering, cell biology applications etc. (might already be covered by other themes but a more dedicated session for methodology and toolkits might be beneficial, could also be a session with shorter talks)
The conference proceedings can be downloaded via the links.
